Our Story

Based in Saskatoon, d3h Hotels Inc. (d3h) was founded in 1998, and now owns and operates many hotels across Western Canada). The original company was formed by three Saskatchewan businessmen, known as “the three Dons”. They combined their expertise in design, operations, and accounting, saw the need for a hotel that would appeal to the average family and corporate traveler and came up with the idea of establishing limited-service hotels.

The d3h philosophy not only aims to give their guests the best stay possible but also to take care of staff and encourage staff to care for others and because of that d3h Hotels treats every employee as family. It is the goal of the company to work really hard to have each individual fit into our diverse culture through customized training and helping them reach their potential and career path.

The company has won Tourism Saskatchewan’s Employers of Choice every year since the awards were launched in 2010, as well as being a top three finalist for the association’s Business of the Year, and Employer of the Year awards. In the past 20 years d3h Hotels has received over 120 local and national business and employee awards.

The company’s management team has also recognized the significance of having their head office centrally located in Saskatoon, which allows d3h to bring together innovative individuals from across the province.
